Hey there! I’m Amanda.

I love bacon, sauerkraut, and brewing up my own bone broth; I’m a full-on nutrition nerd, and recently discovered the magic that is lifting weights. Seriously…how did I only just learn about this?

I can get lost for hours “window shopping” in a grocery store (my fiancĂ© can attest to this), and I believe that just about any life situation can be explained by an episode of How I Met Your Mother. I make really bad “that’s what she said” jokes, and probably own more kitchen appliances than we have room for. Baking brings me the most joy in the kitchen, but the kitchen in and of itself is my happy place.

It’s been just over a decade since I was first diagnosed with eczema.

When I adopted a real food/paleo diet template in 2013, I began to see HUGE changes in my skin, mood, and digestion, simply from inserting real food into my life, kicking out the processed garbage, and creating a new, more balanced approach toward my overall wellness.

Health is a journey, and I’m confident that sticking to this lifestyle is what keeps me feeling like my strongest, most vibrant self. Things can only get better from here, and this mindset pushes me forward each day, excited to see where my path will take me.  

I love learning about food – the good, the bad and the ugly – and will always continue to experiment and hone in on what my body really wants and needs.
